Raamatukogu inspireerib!

Novembris 2012 avaldas Jorge Rodriguez-Caballero, kes õpib kolmandat aastat EMTAs kompositsiooni Toivo Tulevi ja Helena Tulve juures, soovi pildistada raamatukogu 8. korruselt avanevat vaadet. Selgus, et Rodriguez-Caballero oli pool aastat käinud meie muusikasaalis viimistlemas mahukat heliteost, inspiratsiooniks saalist avanev vaade Tallinnale. Enamasti istus ta ka samal kohal. Oratoorium on nüüd valmis, 7. detsembril 2012 toimus Peeter-Pauli kirikus teose esmaettekanne.

Siin Jorge kiri: Apologies I have not written before, it has been a really busy time. Today, finally, I took the newly printed posters for my concert on the 7th of December. The concert features also Estonian composers like Eduard Tubin and Ester Mägi. It is free for all, but I personally welcome you and your colleague (is it also Annika?) that helped me the day the photos were taken. My work will now continue but the closing of the first part in Tallinn, with the view from the Rahvusraamatukogu, will be forever a fact. You may see that the subject of the music I have written could not have been written in a more appropriate place, having in front of me 7 churches, like in the Book of Revelation which is the text of my music. I attach the poster. You will recognize the background, I am sure. I also use this background for my website jorgorio.com in the tag called Apocalypsis Iesu, my oratorio work. The only unfortunate thing was that we did not catch a good view of Püha Vaimu (the 7th church!) because it is quite hidden; we had to process the photo a bit. We did not dare asking to climb one of the square "towers" at the top just in case security did not like it! Once again may thanks because it was all very worth while. Best Regards! Jorge
